The webinar will address the elements of nuisance claims and provide a framework for analyzing potential nuisance claims in the context of oil and gas development.  The webinar will focus on strategies for defending potential nuisance claims bought by surface owners by oil and gas operators.  The webinar will also discuss the use of the surface estate by oil and gas operators.  The webinar will analyze the elements of the accommodation doctrine and potential claims raised by surface owners regarding oil and gas development on their lands.  Finally, the webinar will address subsurface trespass and when an oil and gas operator may or may not need to obtain subsurface easements or agreements.
