This presentation will review several recent Texas oil and gas cases and discuss their holdings. Cases are selected for their practical impact on the day-to-day work of land professionals and include both appellate-level and Texas Supreme Court cases. Topics will include effect of retained acreage clauses on horizontal wells, use and abuse of correction conveyances, pooling and lease revivor issues, and rights in subsurface reservoirs for storage and disposal, among other topics.
