Attorney Paula K. Manis, Of Counsel Attorney at Loomis, Ewert, Parsley, Davis & Gotting P.C, a very well known advocate for the Michigan Oil and Gas Industry, will assist with a Dormant Mineral Workshop.   Ms. Manis started her oil and gas career as a Field Landman for Amoco in Michigan and has worked within, and along side of, the oil and gas industry her entire legal career.  Over the course of her long career, Ms. Manis has rendered more than a thousand title opinions.   Attendees will be challenged with difficult dormancy questions in quiz format followed by a legal opinion given to the more difficult questions by Ms. Manis.  This workshop will be fun and is sure to challenge even the most experienced Michigan Landman!

Geologist Timothy R. Maness, Maness Petroleum Corporation, will do a presentation titled ‘Michigan’s Dundee: Still Flowing After All These Years’.  Mr. Maness has over thirty years of industry experience and specializes in geological consulting and prospecting for oil and gas in the Central Michigan Basin.  He will provide historic information regarding the Dundee formation and explain why exploring for oil and gas in the Dundee formation within Michigan is still one of the hottest plays today.
